Data Director - Getting Started

Google Hangouts - More than just Chat!

Skyward - Secondary Gradebook

Come learn the steps you will need to get the year started on the right foot.  You will learn how to take attendance, enter assignments, pick and weight categories, look up student demographic information and navigate in the new system.

Description: Do you have a basic google site up and running and would like to learn more about how to customize your site by adding calendars, groups, pictures, custom banners, edit HTML, add Google Analytics and much more? Then this class is for you.

Doing More with Google Docs

Learn about Add-ons such as Flubaroo for self grading quizzes, Doctopus for classroom document management, and Mail Chimp Mail Merge. You can also learn about some of our favorite Google Docs Apps like LucidPress for publishing, LucidChart for mindmapping, and WeVideo for video creation.

Description: Connecting with colleagues to discuss and hone your craft is vital to the growth of every educator. There’s just not enough time in the day and sometimes that person or group is in another district or worse yet, a different state. Well, there IS a solution! During this session you will be exposed to the power of social media as your own Professional Learning Network. You will learn how these networks will save you time, not take away from it. We’ll even work with you to get you started building your virtual PLN today!

Skyward - Elementary Gradebook

Description: This school year, PPS will be implementing the new Skyward gradebook and student information system.  As part of this implementation, the elementary report card will be morphing to a standards-based report card linked to the Common Core.  Come learn the steps you will need to get the year started on the right foot.  You will learn how to take attendance, enter events/assignments, look up student demographic information and navigate in the new system. 

Chromebooks in the Classroom

Student Presentation Tools - More than just PowerPoint

Are you looking for some ways, besides PowerPoint, for your students to present their knowledge? Come learn about tools like Prezi, Haiku Deck, Animoto, PowToons and more to spice up your presentations and give your students the choice to express themselves in new ways.
